The monthly puja ceremony in @ the orphanage aims to make the children feel and experience more connection and warmth. Very necessary because many of them suffer from serious attachment problems with all the difficult consequences that entails.

Handed over the newly purchased kitchen utensils and eating utensils at the orphanage. That was a party; everyone happy.

Today we gave the owner of this shop ‘his best day ever’ since he started his business because we bought 36 spoons; 36 cups; 36 plates; 36 bowls; 5 cutting boards, 7 kitchen knives; a pressure cooker; a waterboiler; 3 rolling pins and some other kitchen items from him for the orphanage. Happy for him and of course for the children of course.

Asha checks the vegetable garden on the roof, which was created during corona times and was upgraded last year with our help. Looking good and helps a lot with feeding the children at the shelter!

After a good trip, the founder and treasurer arrived in warm and sunny Kathmandu. We are looking forward to it and are going to make something beautiful out of it.

Deze laatste dag is er vooral een van nog meer afscheid nemen, nog even dit en nog even dat. Susma, Pasthemba, Tshering; allemaal kwamen ze nog even langs voor een kopje chai en see-you-later-klets. Gezelligheid op de laatste dag. Weggaan doet altijd een beetje pijn, maar maakt het wel weer mogelijk om terug te keren. En daar word ik dan wel weer blij van.
En er moet natuurlijk ook nog van alles gebeuren; zoals inpakken en dat is altijd een uitdaging op de terugreis, want ik koop altijd diverse spullen als ik hier ben. Verder moet ik de database aanpassen, zodat we precies zicht hebben op welke kinderen op welke school zitten en in welke klas. Alleen zo hebben we goed inzicht in wat er de komende jaren op ons af gaat komen qua studiebeurzen.
Laatste dingen inpakken, wachten op vertrek naar het vliegveld. Inchecken, douane en security, wachten, vliegen, wachten, tussenstop, slapen, inchecken, vliegen, afgehaald worden en thuiskomen. Het was een prachtig avontuur. Had het met niemand anders willen meemaken. 🙏🏽 André.
