Many of the children in the program can’t wear clean clothes. Therefore, the volunteers wash their clothes quickly, so they go home clean and with clean clothes.
The solution is to buy a washing machine so that washing clothes goes faster and easier.
The kids arrive with dirty clothes and go home in clean ones.

Door de vele en langdurige stroomstoringen in Nepal is zonne energie in huizen en bedrijven erg belangrijk. De zonne panelen van het huis zijn echter niet voldoende om ook het SHCOP van stroom te voorzien.
De oplossing is om plaatsing en installatie van extra zonne panelen aansluiten zodat er ook voldoende elektriciteit is voor het SHCOP
Genoeg stroom voor zowel het huishouden als de buitenschoolse opvang.

Because of the many and lengthy power cuts in Nepal solar energy in homes and businesses is very important. The solar panels of the house are not enough to also provide electricity for the SHCOP.
The solution is to play and installing additional solar panels so that there is enough electricity for the SHCOP
There is now enough power for both the private home and the after-school program.

De maandelijkse kosten van het SHCOP worden vooral gefinancierd door gewaardeerde vrijwilligers uit Canada. Wegens omstandigheden buiten hun controle zijn zij even niet in staat om voldoende geld in te zamelen om het programma de komende maanden draaiende te houden.
De oplossing is dat 4 Smiling Faces voor een bepaalde periode een deel van de maandlasten betaald. We doen dit om dat het programma anders kinderen moet weigeren, wegsturen of – erger nog – helemaal moet stoppen. Gezien de moeilijke situatie waarin de kinderen zitten is dat geen optie, want zij hebben letterlijk en figuurlijk nergens anders waar ze terecht kunnen.
Het resultaat is dat het SHCOP in ieder geval t/m juli met volle vaart vooruit kan.

The monthly running costs for the Second Home Child Outreach Program are financed by great volunteer friends from Canada. Due to circumstances beyond their control, they are unable to raise enough funds to keep the program going.
The solution is that 4SmilingFaces will pay for the shortfall for the time being. We do this because if we don’t, the SHCOP will have to turn kids away or – even worse – stop all together. In light of the very difficult circumstances the kids come from, that is not an option. They have nowhere else to go.
