I grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal. My parents are social workers who have taught me that compassion isn’t just something to talk about. I have been part of the Lotus family home from the start and grew up with all my brothers and sisters. I am very proud of my parents for opening our doors to those in need.

I wouldn’t describe our home and family as a children’s home, but rather as a family. I am not just a single son to my parents, but a part of something much larger – a living example of what family can mean when it is built on choice and care.

Living in this home has been the biggest chapter of my life so far. It is where I have learned what a real family feels like. The saying, “Family is like music: sometimes high notes, sometimes low notes, but always a beautiful song,” fits our family perfectly. I’ve grown up seeing how one act of kindness can create hope and a future for many.

One of the most meaningful parts of growing up here has been watching how we all help each other become stronger, sharing both the good times and the bad. This family has shaped me into someone ready to carry kindness forward, just as my parents have done.

I am currently studying in Grade 8. After completing my S.E.E. (Class 10) in two years, I plan to pursue studies in business. I plan to pursue either a Bachelor of Business Studies or a Bachelor of Business Administration to build a strong foundation for a career in business.
