What is the problem?
Dashain is the most important Hindu festival in Nepal. Traditionally, on this occasion children in Nepal receive new clothes from their families. This is not possible for the children of the after-school program SHCOP; the families and the program have no money for that.
What is the solution?
So, this year again 4 Smiling Faces is making it possible for the children to receive new clothes. We do this not only because it is tradition, but also because it is really necessary. Growing children regularly need new clothes and shoes. If we also honour an important tradition in doing so, then that is even better.
What is the result?
All children receive clothes and shoes. For many of them, it is the first time that they receive something completely new.
