Children’s right

Today is the UN International Day of the Rights of the Child.
According to the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child, every child has the right:
* to say what they think or feel (the right to an opinion)
* to practise their own faith (the right to freedom of religion)
* to play and not to work (the right to play and leisure, the right to protection from child labour)
* to have enough and healthy food (the right to food)
* to go to school (the right to education)
* to live a healthy life (the right to health)
And every child must be protected from:
* forced labour (the right to protection from child labour)
* abuse (the right to protection from child abuse)
*sexual and war-related violence (the right to protection from sexual abuse, the right to protection during war)
Furthermore, every child has the right:
*to their own name
* to be with the people they choose
* to information
* to care
* to equality (regardless of their religion, race, or nationality)
* to special care for children with disabilities
* to care
* to priority
This also means that things should be distributed more fairly — such as access to clean water, food, medicine, education, prosperity, freedom, and safety for everyone in the world!
4 Smiling Faces cannot help every child, but the children we support in Nepal are truly being given a better chance for a bright future.
💛 Will you help us help them?
